Information About UPSC NDA & NA 2020

UPSC NDA-I 2020: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has finally released the UPSC NDA & NA-1 2020 notification on its official website .i.e.upsc.gov.in. Candidates who want to appear for NDA 1 2020 this year, they can apply for posts from today. The online application window will be opened by 28 January 2020.

This year, the Commission will appoint 418 vacancies, of which 370 vacancies are for the National Defense Academy and 48 for the Naval Academy (10 + 2 cadet entry scheme).

All interested candidates who want to be part of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy have a golden opportunity to be a part of the Ministry of Defense. UPSC NDA NA 2020 online registration is going to start today.

NDA 2020 application form has been released from 8 January 2020. The examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The UPSC NDA Entrance Exam is an entrance for those candidates who want to pursue a career in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. This national level examination is conducted twice every year (NDA I and NDA II) in the months of April and November.

Candidates must first pass the written examination with minimum qualifying marks and then appear for the SSB interview round to get admission in NDA. After clearing the SSB round, the eligible candidates will undergo the medical examination and document verification process. NDA 2020 exam dates for NDA I and II exams have been released. The exam will be held on 19 April (NDA I) and 6 September 2020 (NDA II).

NDA 2020 application form

The NDA Application Form is released on 8 January 2020 and for NDA II on 10 June 2020.

UPSC will conduct NDA NA 2020 examination on 19 April 2020.

The application form can be filled in two parts - Part I and Part II.
In Part I of the application process, candidates have to fill their original and other important details in the form.

In Part II of the application process, candidates are required to select their examination center, upload their photograph and signature, pay the application fee and confirm the declaration.

After the final submission of the application form, the candidates have to upload the printout of the application form, fee payment and similar photo in the application.

The application form can be withdrawn online from 4 February to 11 February 2020 from 6 PM.

Candidates should fill the application form carefully as no modification or correction in the application form can be done after the final submission.

Minimum: not earlier than 02-07-2001
Maximum: not later than 01-07-2004
Marital Status: Applying candidate must be unmarried. Candidates cannot marry until completing their training.
Gender: Only males are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification: NDA 2020

For Air Force and Naval Wings (Cadet Entry Scheme): Applying candidates must have passed their 10th and 12th level exams from a recognized board or university with the main subjects of Physics and Mathematics.

For Army Wing of National Defense Academy: Candidates must have passed their 10th and 12th level exams from a recognized board or university.

Appearing Candidates: Those who are in their last year of qualifying year are also eligible to apply.

NDA 2020 exam pattern

Exam Mode and Date: NDA I exam will be held on 19 April 2020 and NDA II on 6 September 2020. The exam will be conducted in pen and paper (offline) mode.

Type of Questions: The questions asked in the examination paper will be objective type.

Total Marks: The written examination will be of a total of 900 marks (Mathematics - 300; General Aptitude Test - 600). The SSB Interview will be of 900 marks.

Section: The written examination will be divided into two sections - Mathematics and General Aptitude Test.

Language medium: Question paper will be available in English as well as the Hindi language.

Time period: The time period for completing the paper will be 5 hours (2 each hour of each).

Marking Scheme: 0.33% of the mark assigned to the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

NDA 2020 syllabus

The NDA syllabus comprises various subjects of mathematics, English and general knowledge subjects. The complete syllabus can be checked by students through online mode.

mathematics:
Matrix and Determinants, Algebra, Analytical Geometry of Two and Three Dimensions, Trigonometry, Integral Calculus, and Differential Equation, Differential Calculus, Statistics and Probability, Vector Algebra

English:
The English question paper will be designed to test the English candidate's understanding and use of the work of words. The syllabus covers various aspects such as vocabulary, comprehension, grammar and usage and consistency in the extended text to test the candidate's proficiency in English.

Common Sense:
The question paper on general knowledge will broadly cover topics from Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography, and Current Events.

The candidate's answers will demonstrate their intelligent understanding and knowledge of the subject.
